What is the difference between bipolar disorder and multiple personalities?

I think that: 2 Bipolar personalities. while figures many are more than 2. Is it not to make simple?

They are completely different. Bi-polar is not necessarily two personalities, rather, two radically different environments. They retain their identity. With bi-polar patient goes through phases of mania in which the person lives insomnia, and he is very hyper and confident (similar to Somone drug stimulant). They also go through stages of severe depression. There no way to predict the mood swings. They can be manic for several days, weeks, months or years and move to depression or vice versa. It is a very large rate of suicide with bipolar people during the depressive phase. It's more of a chemical imbalance in the brain. Personalities usually arises from multiple severe abuse during childhood and is more of a psychological disorder. The brain creates different personalities in which to address the abuse and the shield of the main personality. There Mulitple identities. When the "alter" personality is the main character is completely unconscious. The black person while the changes are in control, sometimes for days. It is usually triggered by stress. Alters may be different kinds and different handwriting. The altars have different names and all serve a different purpose. It occurs cases of serious abuse.
