physical symptoms of depression

physical symptoms of depression?
i have been nauseous for the last 2 months. I also had problems with diarrhea, rare vomiting, fatigue and some dizziness. i have to force myself to eat because I appittite very little, but I lost 15 pounds. I went to a doctor and a specialist in stomach and they thought it might be a virus long but it still has not gone away. I just moved cities and started a new school that I do not like so I was very unhappy. could be a form of depression or anxiety be the cause of all symptoms or should I continue to seek a medical basis?
Hello, symptoms longtime nausea, diarreah, occasional vomiting, fatigue and dizziness to loss of 15 pounds require further medical evaluation. Doctors first rule of medical problems that can have symptoms that can mimic those of mental and emotional problems. You need a good working laboratory in place that may include stool analysis to rule out parasites or things like occult blood. Your doctor may order an upper or lower GI series involving X-ray examinations of the stomach, colon, esophagus and other parts of the digestive system to find faults, etc. dizziness and fatigue may be the effects of your weight loss and inability to eat much. These are symptoms very important because the loss of appetite could affect your electrolyte balance and you can not eat the foods you need the input adequate vitamins, minerals and fluids. Assuming your experience depression, anxiety, and misery on top of the simple fact have moved means that you meet a lot of stress on these changes, in addition to attending a new school that you do not, and this may be nothing to do with your other symptoms, or perhaps by adding to it. I encourage you to consult your advisor college college to discuss your problems with the school. Do not keep it all in, as having problems without letting out stress can contribute to gastrointestinal etc. Do you attend church? Meeting with a pastor or a priest for counseling might help, and may provide a social life for people your age who might help with depression, etc. Your community or college can offer rates for student mental health counseling and treatment, as well as dental and medical services, and you can always call and ask for a clinic if they offer students a discount. In the meantime, I have another appointment with a medical doctor and follow up with your care. Before going to this appointment, you should call your previous doctor and gastroenterologist and ask those medical records will be sent to your new doctor. Your doctor may have a new version of the form of information you can log and they fax it to them for you. Provide your new doctor with a detailed medical history, including questions on your history of mental and emotional health and current conditions is important. In the meantime, try to relax when you can, breathing Practice deep, take walks because exercise stimulates endorphins ("feel good" chemicals) into your brain and help fight against your depressive symptoms. View humorous films and avoid the serious look on TV. Ask your new doctor if you can take extra vitamins and minerals. Do your best to make 1-2 new friends, you can open with and have fun with. Join a club or activity to your school so you can develop a positive approach to school, rather than simply taking courses. The concern is cons-productive activity and completely unnecessary. Counter negative thoughts with positive thoughts, as soon as you start to think. Stretching exercises, morning and evening, trading off massage of the feet, hands, head, back, etc. with friends help, and you can practice self-massage. This would all help reduce anxiety. Remember to bring a list of medications you are currently taking to your doctors, including vitamins and other willingly the-counter supplements. Avoid taking aspirin and ibuprofen, which are irritating to the stomach. Instead of taking Tylenol or other pain relievers non-aspirin. Coffee, tea, tomato juice, vinegar and other acidic foods irritate the stomach, so try to reduce or prevent these types of food alltogether, until Does your stomach settles. Do not be paranoid, as this could be a persistent stomach virus and nothing more. Sometimes viruses to 4 weeks or more to get more. I hope these help.
