Shingles suck! im 21 and I just got the chicken pox for the first time. When I got home the doctor gave me the percasets the outset, and is still felt. as far as home remedies, calamine lotion and oatmeal baths help the itching a bit. and Tylenol and aspirin reduce fever. virus chickenpox is wicked Especially when you get older. Shingles is the reactivation of the virus in your nerve endings, thats why it hurts so bad. I recommend to consult the doctor and some perscription pain killers. Good luck to you.
